NEWS: Old Vic’s In Camera: Playback series gives audiences the chance to revisit past streamed productions https://ift.tt/3m9OTDm

The Old Vic has announced In Camera: Playback, a limited series offering people the chance to revisit the first three live streamed Old Vic: In Camera productions. Directed by Matthew Warchus and broadcast earlier this year, Duncan Macmillan’s Lungs, Stephen Beresford’s Three Kings and Brian Friel’s Faith Healer are back by popular demand with the recorded versions of the live shows available to watch again across nine new streaming dates to see the venue out of 2020 and into 2021.

Three Kings starring Andrew Scott will be available from 2-4 December 2020, Faith Healer featuring Michael Sheen, David Threlfall and Indira Varma (20-22 January 2021) and Lungs with Claire Foy and Matt Smith (27-29 January).

As with the Old Vic: In Camera series, each production will be available to watch from home via Zoom and only one ticket is required per device.

Old Vic: In Camera was always intended as a creative experiment and has now become crucial in The Old Vic’s fight for survival, as it remains one of the few ways the theatre can ensure any regular income during closure. The theatre has been overwhelmed by the global audience which has come together night after night to show their support.

The In Camera: Playback series is made possible thanks to the support of Royal Bank of Canada as The Old Vic’s Principal Partner. Since the beginning of Warchus’ tenure in 2015, RBC has sponsored over 30 main stage productions and now enables the delivery of this series. And, thanks to PwC’s generosity a number of PwC £10 Playback Tickets will be offered across all performances. The Culture Recovery Fund has also provided significant funding through to March 2021 to assist with The Old Vic’s reopening and future proofing. More in the Old Vic: In Camera series for 2021 will be announced soon.
